In our society today, we are all looking for ways to cut our expenses. If you own any property in , then one of these expenses are your property taxes. In our discussion today, we are going to look at ways to possibly cut your propertytaxes.

Tip #1 – Make a trip to the assessment office.

This office contains a wealth of knowledge that we don’t take enough advantage of. Get as much information about your property in as you can. Make sure that everything that is recorded in that office is true to the best of your knowledge. If it is not, then you definitely want to rectify that. Whatever is not correct, you want to be able to show proof via pictures, photos or even measurements that what is recorded is incorrect and then what it should be.

Tip #2 – Assess property in your neighborhood

Remember that the assessment office is a wealth of knowledge. When you go to the office, get some values of other properties in your . See where your house stands versus others properties in the area. Determine whether your assessed value is low or high or right where it should be.

Tip #3 – Determine property values in
